Are We Too Busy For What Really Matters?

Wanna 1

This is a loaded question. Straight away it’s family and friends. Right?

We love our family; we love our friends. Should we lose any one of them it would rip us to shreds. Just the thought is too painful to bear.

Still, life gets in the way. There is work, errands, kids, the house, car, laundry, shopping.

Then comes the unexpected, like accidents and health issues. Oooor…

Here comes the truth.

Human nature.

It’s all about me. I don’t like to go there, it’s boring. I don’t like the way he/she always does such and such. I hate that long drive. I don’t like the way the house smells. I don’t like _ _ _ _  (fill in the blanks).

Yet, it’s fine with me that: “boring” always helps with my projects, “such and such” often covers with the kids, the “long drive” is always made down my way, the “house smells” because of a serious illness, “everyone” cares enough to tolerate my imperfections.

I have not begun to realize that…

Wanna 2   I can never get it back.

About Maxi

Hi … I'm Maxi, a retiree with an addiction. I have quit: raising kids, cleaning house, cooking, doing laundry—there is no end the list—everything is done on "have to." The addiction? Writing to my last breath. blessings ~ maxi
