Talk about some talented artists, these have to be among the most inventive. When the serpent first caught my eye I thought it was real.
A gigantic aluminum serpent was completed in 2012 by artist Huang Yong Ping. It lays along the shore of the Loire River near Nantes, France. It is nearly 425 feet and mirrors the curves of the Saint Nazaire bridge nearby. (check images on Flickr via Beautiful Decay)
Carl Jara was determined to sculpt sand art that observers would never expect to see. His pieces have the look of marble or wood. Not long after he began, a 15ft sand sculpture was portrayed on the evening news — Carl has since won nine World Championship medals.
