Maxi Malone Twitter Account Compromised

“What’s going on with the strange e-mails?” my friend asked.

I was confused. “What do you … I didn’t send you an e-mail.”

“I didn’t think so,” she came back. “This is the second one, just wanted to let you know.”

The next day I open my mail and there’s a message from Twitter. It stated that my account had been compromised and I had to change my password.

These are the messages sent from @maxi8:

OMG ur famous now haha

How did they get you on film

What are you doing in this vidd

This reveals that Facebook accounts are vulnerable; they are being used to hack Twitter accounts.

Anyone who has received one of these Direct Messages from me on Twitter, please know that I did NOT send it.

If you have received one of these e-mails do NOT click on it.

My sincere apology to anyone who has received one of these messages. I have taken care of the problem and hopefully no one else will be aggravated by this situation. This is what I did to clear my Twitter account. Go to:

This is what you will see:

My Account was hacked or compromised.

Don’t panic! We can help.

What is your issue?

  • I can’t sign into my account
  • My account has been suspended
  • My account has been hacked or compromised

Is someone other than you accessing your account?
If so, please take the following steps:

  1. Reset your password
Please reset your password by entering your email address, phone, or username into the password reset form.
  2. Revoke connections
While logged in, visit the Applications tab in Account Settings. Revoke access for any third-party application that you don’t recognize.
  3. Were you able to complete the first two steps?

Great! Once you’ve reset your password and checked your connections here, your account should be secure. Please delete any statuses you did not post.

How sad that some people have no integrity; instead of doing good their days are spent creating havoc in the lives of others.
