The busiest shopping day of the year is one week from tomorrow, when shoppers get the best bargains. People line up in the middle of the night at the most well-known stores.
Buyers know what they want and go to the store early so they can be first in line. It is mayhem and madness but customers love it, can’t wait for the store to open. Every year they show up earlier.
You know who you are.
I found this little tidbit on the web:
Question: What time should i line up for black friday at best buy?
i want to line up at best buy for a laptop, they have at least 15 of them at the store, what time should i go there and line up and what time do the lines usually get started at?
Answer: sleep over, that’s what im doing =)
get a sleeping bag, something to entertain yourself and a gun you never know who will show up!!!
See what I mean? Forget the gun, there is safety in numbers and you will have lots of company.
Here’s the problem: Anthony Hardwick is a part-time employee at Target and feels it’s unfair to call workers in at 11pm; he complains they will miss Thanksgiving get-to-gethers because they have to go bed early to get enough rest.
Sooo, Anthony went to www.change.org to get supporters to sign a petition. He wants to force Target to open at 5am, which is more convenient for employees.
This is my take: A store is in business to make money, it’s the customers who buy products that bring in revenue. If a store caves to employee’s demands, workers will make more demands.
My grandma used to say: If you’re not happy with a job you should leave, there is always someone waiting to take your place.
One more thing, don’t know about you but … at our house everyone comes early and we eat early, plenty of time to visit and enjoy the holiday. Aaand go to bed early if one must.
How about your house?
