Say Yes to the Dress is a TV program where family and friends voice their opinion on the bride’s wedding dress. Weeell, it ain’t workin’ for Justin Lew Harris’ mom.
35-year-old Justin is the groom, and his mama doesn’t want any part of her baby boy married to this woman.
Only you can’t stop love, it is going to be a beautiful day in Minden, Nevada. Everyone is settled in their seats at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church. The bride can’t wait to walk down the aisle, can’t wait for everyone to see her in “the dress.”
The anxious bride waits for the music to begin … and waits.
The nervous husband-to-be stands at the altar … and waits.
Instead of “Here Comes the Bride” the couple hears a loud commotion as Justin’s mama starts to yell; she showed up to put a stop to this nonsense.
This can’t be. Justin is embarrassed, doesn’t know what to do. He has to get mama outta there. There is no way to reason with her, so the groom carries his 56-year-old mama from the church.
There will be no wedding today. Justin is carted off to jail after mama accuses him of assault. Church volunteer, Jim Jameson, doesn’t understand what mom’s objection is all about.
Doesn’t matter. When his mama wants to see her son in jail, Justice Tom Perkins insists that Justin should treat family with respect. You have to wonder what the judge is thinking.
Mom creates the chaos and the groom is arrested? He should show respect while mom ruins his wedding day?
And what about the bride who waits…
