Dirty Little Secret of Casey Anthony Trial

Wednesday the judge said the attorneys were trying to pick jurors who will help their side … as if they were doing something underhanded.

I don’t know diddly about the law but that’s what I would do. Anyway, both sides are in a twist about the situation. The attorneys want to go through all the jurors, then come back again and pick the best ones.

There isn’t time for all that or they’ll be holding this trial someplace in Georgia.

It’s not the jurors fault either. They feel that Casey Anthony is guilty because all the evidence points to her. She’s the only suspect.

This is why:

August 2005: Caylee Marie Anthony is born; lives with mom at grandparent’s home.

June 15, 2008: Casey and Caylee leave, no contact with parents.

June 30, 2008: Cindy and George are notified their car has been towed from check cashing place in Orlando. When Cindy and George pick up the car they are paralyzed with fear, the trunk smells like death.

July 15, 2008: Cindy Anthony finds Casey at her boyfriend’s – without Caylee. Cindy takes Casey to the police station, it’s closed. Cindy takes her home and calls 911 to have Casey arrested for stealing money and car.

In one of her calls to 911 Cindy is breaking down and crying about Caylee. She is frantic, desperate for help. She cries out, “I found out my granddaughter has been taken, she has been missing for a month. I found my daughter’s car today and it smelled like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.”

July 16, 2008: Casey tells police that she left Caylee with the babysitter and when she went to pick her up they were gone, that she has been doing her own investigation. Police check babysitter’s apartment—it has been vacant for over 4 months. Casey is arrested for child neglect.

Things start piling up after this. Like pictures of Casey partying and whooping it up while Caylee is missing.  Strands of hair that look like Caylee’s are found in the trunk of the car and cadaver dogs smell human decomposition.

A neighbor tells detectives that Casey borrowed a shovel on June 16, 2008.

Not only that, Casey steals checks from a friend and goes on a shopping spree. Two weeks after Caylee went missing she got a tattoo, Bella Vita, good life.

Aug. 17, 2008: Leonard Padilla is a bounty hunter and bails Casey out of jail because he believes that she wants to find Caylee. After a week he gives up, not once did Casey mention finding her daughter.

Oct 14, 2008: Casey Anthony is charged with first degree murder

Dec. 11, 2008: A skull is found half-mile from Anthony home

Dec. 19, 2008: It is Caylee

June 19, 2009: It is homicide

Chloroform in the trunk of the car must make jurors suspicious. And they probably believe the stain is connected to Caylee. But the stomach-churning evidence is the duct tape wrapped around her skull with a heart sticker on the mouth. Would a stranger do that?

So many things happened besides what I have listed, but this is the heart of the story.

One after another jurors say Casey is guilty which is understandable.

Maybe that’s why she is more emotional, had to be carted outta the courtroom one time. There are jurors now, being asked questions, the trial is going to start. This is real.

There is something that isn’t quit real to me. And that’s the defense using Rosalie Bolin, a woman who left her marriage and lost her children, so she could marry a serial killer who is sitting on death row.

Another mystery is why Casey’s parents are not in the courtroom. I thought the judge said they were allowed. And why wouldn’t Casey see her mother for one last visit before the trial began?

Whew, so many questions.

I have one more if you don’t mind. If no new evidence comes up during the trial…

Which way would you vote?
