Buying an Acer Aspire

Here is what’s going on…

When we found out that my husband had lung cancer it would mean spending long hours at the Cancer Center, so before he started treatments David bought me a laptop.

Now I have never cared much for the heavy clunkers. Although, when I tried them it was a long time ago; they have improved a lot since then.

You’re not gonna believe this one. I had no idea that David was as Sam’s looking at these light weight, slim line, beauties while I was online doing the same thing.

You are going to think I’m lying for sure when I tell you that we were both eyeballin’ the Acer Aspire. I went straight to the reviews. People are mad for this “carry around.” I read only one complaint; it was about battery time, 3-4hrs. Works for me.

I gotta tell ya, I love this 17 incher with Windows7.

Which brings me to why I’m writing this post … you ladies are going to be so jealous.

When I started yakkin’ to David about how much I like Windows7, how much faster it is than Vista, yadda yadda, he started checking around.

I won’t buy any OS that doesn’t supply backup disks, which Wal-Mart doesn’t carry in-store, you have to go online.

On one of the days when he had a little energy, David went back to Sam’s and found that Windows7 was a little cheaper and supplied the disks. My loving husband came home with another surprise.

So, as soon as I close this post I’m going to install Windows7.

If I get lost for a while you will know that something bad happened. If not, there will be a new post Friday and I will tell you all about it.

Until then…

May Your Glass Always Be Half Full

BTW, all this from a man who
never turns on a computer.
