It’s Wednesday, Fascinating Facts Day. I had not planned to write about voting until I spied this poll … now I can’t help myself.
Have you decided who you will vote for on Nov. 2?
No
12%
1769 Votes
I already voted
17%
2626 Votes
I’m not voting
9%
1373 Votes
Total Votes: 14,994
When I saw the words “I’m not voting” it slammed me right in the conscience. Dug up the guilt of years ago when I said it; didn’t vote either.
I didn’t realize by not voting that I wasn’t represented, had no say. Now I understand: My vote is my voice.
In Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Somalia, Vietnam, and some other countries citizens are not allowed to vote for their leaders. There are more if we add the countries that don’t permit women to vote.
America is my country, the land where I was born and raised; it’s where I have chosen to live and will stay until the day I die.
I love this country heart and soul. I’m proud of America; no country in the world helps those in need, here and abroad, as much as the United States.
What if there is an election and no one shows up? It’s only one vote, doesn’t matter.
Is that a fact…
