When I first read a CNN.com article and saw the words awkward and dorky describing Tiger Woods I thought, this can’t be the same person. Then I realized it was before he became famous, before he had his “make-over.”
Tiger’s girlfriend in college was Irene Folstrom and she says: “He definitely was a dork … kinda scrawny and wore thick glasses. He didn’t really have a lot of female attention.” Can you believe that?
Irene claims that Tiger was faithful when they dated; is shocked by his behavior. “It was a complete surprise, the Tiger I know would never have done anything like this. He was never a party animal, never reckless. He had an immense amount of self-control.”
Like many others, Irene supports Tiger, says he has his faults but he’s really a good person. That’s true of most of us. We have those skeletons in the closet. Buuut we are not celebrities. Don’t live in the public eye. Don’t have the same obligations. Don’t have sponsors dishing out millions of dollars. Don’t have thousands of children looking up to us with expectations. Don’t have…
To whom much is given, much is expected.
