“I just keep thinking back to when you’re in the second grade and you sing in the talent show for the first time and people joke around and say, ‘Maybe we’ll see you at the Grammys some day.’ But that just seems like an impossible dream. I just feel like I’m standing here accepting and impossible dream.” Taylor Swift
I didn’t watch the Grammys, but when I read that it gave me goose bumps. You can’t help but be thrilled for the seven-year-old little girl who “made it big at the Grammys.”
Still, it was Beyonce who was the biggest winner. Can you imagine … six trophies? Made her the greatest Grammy lady in history; had the song of the year with “Put A Ring On It.” The Zac Brown Band is Grammys Best New Artist. They pumped everyone up right from the get-go with “America the Beautiful.” If there’s one thing I love it is patriotism, don’t you?
What can one say about Lady Gaga? She is just outrageous, isn’t she? Well, she won two Grammys. We can’t take that away.
Then we have The Black Eyed Peas (love that name); they won three trophies, and Jay-Z won two awards and…
There could not have been a more chilling event at the Grammys than the moments when Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli raised it up in a “Bridge Over Troubled Water” to raise money for the people of Haiti.
