The first word that sprung to mind when I saw this photo was Courage; the brave traveler Prepared himself as best he could and set out on a journey. Where ever he was going must have been incredibly important.
Maybe he thought it wouldn’t be so bad, he had done it so many times in the spring and summer. Only the load was lighter back then and the sun was shining ; he whistled and called out to friends as he pedaled through the village.
The joyful memory began to fade, replaced by the freezing wind rushing up under his jacket, with each push of the pedal biting pain stung his toes and the ache in his back was nearly unbearable.
No matter, he had a Destination, there was no choice. He had started this journey and there was no turning back—someone was counting on him—he couldn’t let him down.
