New Year’s Resolutions – Not

by Maxi

There must be something special about you that everyone knows. C’mon now, before you say “no” think on it a minute. We’ll keep talking while some are thinking.

You already know that I love to write but … this is going to make you so jealous girls … my husband, David, loves to cook. Does all the cooking at our house. His specialty is deep, fried turkey and wings.

New Year’s Day we had a few close friends over for wings and wine. It was just an informal get-together to bring in the New Year. We don’t go out the night before, never do that.

It made me think of something else I never do: Resolutions. Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? You know why I don’t: All that pressure. Especially the first one: Lose weight. Aren’t we still trying to do that from last year? And somewhere on the list is get along better with the in-laws, ain’t gonna happen. Now some got lucky and it was smooth from the start; for others it wasn’t and there’s no sense makin’ a list and pretending. I could go on but you get my drift.

If you were able to keep your Resolutions we would love to read them. Send them to:

Happy New Year!!
