Here’s what happened…
Friday night was a dogfight, everyone wanted to win, had to beat out the other guy to get that personal nickname being offered on Facebook.
The mad scramble started at midnight, it was first come-first serve … three
minutes later 200,000 user names were registered.
Scarcely an hour had passed when Facebook claimed 1 million personal URLs. Through Sunday, more than 5M user names had been assigned. Facebook stated the process went smoothly.
The Media World was blasting the headlines about who won and who lost. Facebook users either locked-in their names of choice or lost out to others with the same name.
Still, it’s being said that the social networking site has a ways to go.
Do you think that’s true? What say you about all this hoopla?
