Man builds replica of Noah’s Ark(scale in Bible) in Schagen, Netherlands.
Mammoth door opened for crowd of townsfolk by builder Johan Huibers.
Ark is two-thirds the length of a football field and three stories high.
Life-size models of giraffes, elephants, other animals greet arriving visitors.
A contractor, Huibers built the ark of cedar and pine.
Huibers did work with his hands, modern tools and help from son Roy.
Visitors are stunned. “It’s beyond comprehension.”
Enough space in keel for 50-seat theater; kids watch video of “Noah & Ark.”
This just fills me up, touches me so much. Guess I’ll get out of my jammies now.
