This is the window alongside my computer desk. “Outside
My Window” we share our little acre with some very
interesting creatures. The Pine beyond the far right
window is where the birds like to roost.
These Mourning Doves are perched in that
Pine tree in the front yard – nap time.
The rest of the family digs for a meal; there
are lots o’ goodies ‘neath those blades.
The male Cardinal is very territorial. One saw
himself in the side mirror of David’s truck and
pecked for days tryin’ to run that critter off.
This fella is bigger than he looks. “Hawkbird”
has been with us for a lotta years. He used to
have a mate but she disappeared. This
photo was snapped in a rain shower.
It’s rare to see an Osprey in one of our trees,
much less one that poses for a photo-op.
I’m no photographer mind ya, these pics were taken with my Kodak EasyShare Z710. No bird expert either, just havin’ a little fun.
