10 Killer Jobs in Amerca

This list had a couple of surprises for me. I thought police officers would be no.1; they are killed so often in domestic disputes and minor traffic violations, would never have thought of loggers or ranch workers. Goes to show ya…

What about you? How would you see the list?

Slightly depressing but good food for thought if I ever consider a career change!

    • Maxi says:

It is a little uncomfortable, Louisa, but I posted these jobs to open our eyes. And it has. Someone commented that convenience store clerks should be on the list, it’s a dangerous job…

      Blessings – Maxi

One thing is for certain, some of these professionals don’t get paid nearly enough for putting their life on the line, or dealing with undesirable working conditions.

    • Maxi says:

It’s true, Patti, those who put their life on the line to save us deserve compensation. I can tell you some of these salaries are set up as the national average. My son and daughter are firefighters in South Florida and make much more than the average shown here.

      Blessings – Maxi

I think Mothers should be somewhere on that list. If you mess up, at the very least you’ll make it on a Dr. Phil show.. at the very worst, you’ll mess up generations to come.

I agree with Slam. When I worked midnight shift convenience store on the beach side, the police would stop by and tell me how dangerous it was. Sure glad they knew I was there.

    Bless You, Maxi

    • Maxi says:

Thank you for being here A. How fortunate the police were on the watch, who knows what would have happened. The midnight shift is probably the most dangerous in a convenience store.

      Blessings – Maxi

Interesting list Maxi. Watching Deadliest Catch and all of the dangers that those folks face, I hae no doubt it is a dangerous profession.

I also think a forgotten dangerous occupation is overnight convenience store clerk. When I worked patrol, those were some brave folks.

    • Maxi says:

Yes, I have watched Deadliest Catch a time or two and it’s scary. You are dead on, Slam, about convenience store clerks; they should absolutely be on the list…

      Blessings – Maxi

  7. Pilots? And they say air travel is so safe.

  8. Arindam says:

I also see the list in same way. But in my part of the world the top three jobs that will be in this list will be- 1. Army Man, 2. Fighter jet Pilot 3. Police Man.

    • Maxi says:

Sounds as if there is a lot of military where you are, Arindam. Guess there is no place where police officers are not endangered.

      Blessings – Maxi

And you say?
