Last week I received the Kreativ Blogger award. Patti @ pattisjarrett.wordpress.com bestowed the honor. It took me back, caught me off guard actually.

Thank you, Patti, the approval is greatly appreciated. Sure makes one feel special.

Now, I have to tell you about myself and pass this award to others.

I was born in Staten Island, New York but spent little time there. I grew up in Miami, Florida and consider it my home town.

In August I lost my beloved husband, David, after 35 wonderful years of marriage. I’m blessed to have family, friends and online buddies to help me through such a difficult time.

As third in line of seven kids, I know all about loud noise, standing in line, leftovers, hand-me-downs, etc.

Talk about chaos, you gotta find a place of your own, even if it’s within.

I found my place the day I wrote my first complete sentence. It lit me up inside … I haven’t stopped writing since.

I write sentences until they become novels, it’s an addiction. I believe we all have one.
